Studio in Art is the foundation for High School Art Courses and will provide students with the chance to develop basic skills and concepts that apply to all forms of art making in a fun and motivating environment. This blog is used both to highlight student art work and provide information for students and parents.

Students were asked to draw from their memory what an Oreo looks like. This took about 5- 10 minutes.

· It is expected that you will follow all school rules. Absolutely no cell phones, ipods, hats, etc. There is no food in the classroom and beverages are not permitted open in class.
· You must be to class on time. If you are late it is expected that you will be after school for 15 minutes of detention. If you cannot be there, you must let me know at the end of class and detention will be served the next afternoon.
· If you are absent for any reason it is your responsibility to find out what happened in class, what homework or supplies may be due the next day etc. Being absent is not an excuse for being unprepared.
· Book-bags, jackets, and other personal belongings must be placed on the designated table upon entering the room. Only art materials may be brought to your desk to ensure everyone has enough room to work and damages to personal belongings are prevented.
· Passes to the bathroom will not be given during the first or last 5-10 minutes of class: instruction and clean-up time. Only one person will be given a pass out of the room at any time. Using the hall pass is a privilege, abuse of the pass will result in more serious consequences.
· All work must be turned in on time and in the proper manner. Some work cannot be made up; others may be turned in with a 10-point penalty. Work that is significantly late will lose more significant credit. If your work is submitted improperly or without your name it will be returned to you and it will be considered late when resubmitted.
· The majority of all projects may be redone if you are unhappy with your results. If you wish to resubmit your work please let me know as soon as you receive your grade. You will have two weeks to redo your work.
· Extra help will be provided after school on ________________________ from _______-________. Extended extra help hours will be available on certain days. Please let me know in class when you are planning to attend extra help.
