Your overall grade in this class will be determined by your effort and your growth in ability. Marking period grades will be determined as follows…
Project: 50%
Completed projects and reflection sheets will be used to determine your success at meeting the criteria of a lesson. You will be expected to complete a reflection sheet at the end of each class project to be turned in with your work. Reflection sheets will be 10pts of your project grade.
Ample class time will be given to complete projects, if you feel you are falling behind it is your responsibility to attend extra help before the project is due. Late projects will lose 10pts, some projects cannot be made up.
Sketchbook/Homework/Quizzes: 25%
In a sketchbook you will keep class notes, do now and homework assignments. You will also need a folder for loose dittos and handouts. Sketchbooks must be kept up to date and will be collected for grading purposes.
Each homework assignment will be graded. Late homework will lose 10 points. Homework turned in after 2 days may earn up to half credit.
Quizzes will be designed to assess your understanding of art concepts and vocabulary.
Participation: 25%
Your participation grade will be an assessment of your overall class participation, preparedness, and attitude.
All students are expected to assist in keeping the studio environment in working order by participating in set up and clean up of materials.
